Hairroom Salons Eltham is a popular hairdressing salon, located in Arthur St Eltham, in Melbourne’s beautiful green wedge.

Tony Daniele, the salon’s owner and principal hairdresser, setup a Hairroom Salons in Eltham partly because he is a resident, and also because he aligns closely the strong community values of the suburb and surrounding areas.

“Before setting up as a hairdresser in Eltham in 2005, I had another salon in Ivanhoe. I’d always wanted to setup a salon in Eltham, because it’s such an amazing, family-oriented community here. I love just the vibe,” he said.

“Eltham, Montmorency, Reservoir, Briar Hill, Greensborough and other surrounding suburbs in this area have great communities. Residents are invested in the environment, their children's school and community living. It is very much a country feel, where it's personal and people share common values.”

Tony said hair colouring is Hairroom Salons Eltham’s most important service.

“With all the new hair colouring techniques coming out, our hairdressers need to be highly trained. When new techniques are there, we are on the cutting edge, because we invest training.”

Many different reasons make Hairroom Salons a successful hairdressing business. “A lot of it comes back to the way we train our team about great service and understanding what the client needs. We have a strong culture of continually trying to better ourselves.”

“It all comes from our passion for our clients, and giving them the best possible customer service. We have a great system in place, and our team members understand it and live it.”

Tony attributes his passion for hairdressing, and that of his fellow Hairroom Salons owners, to the values he was given by his hair salon mentors.

“I have been in this game for 40 years, and I, along with Dominic, Tony, were tutored by the very best hairdressers in Melbourne in our youth. It was a privilege to be taught by them, and we carry that legacy forward in our respective businesses,” he said.

“We are all over 50 now, but we don’t stop learning, because the passion is still there. I wouldn’t be in it if I didn’t have the passion anymore. And also because some of my clients are like brothers and sisters to me.”

“Consistency keeps our customers coming back. They know what they are going to get - the same service excellence,” said Tony.

“At Hairroom Salons we make our clients feel secure, comfortable, and well looked after, all wrapped up in an amazing experience. The most important thing that I say to my team is focus on when a client walks through the door. The first impression you give as a business is the last impression. I think we deliver that quite well.”

Hairroom Salons Broadmeadows - Retail Quality Award Winner

Hairroom Salons Broadmeadows - an award winning hair salon located in the Broadmeadows Shopping Centre - was established in 1996. In 2015, the salon was recognised with a Retail Quality Award in the Hairdressing category, by the Australian Retail Association.

“After we were nominated for the award they sent in mystery clients to experience our haircuts and colouring services. Winning this award was great recognition of our services and experience,” said owner and principle hairdresser Dominic Petrucelli.

The salon enjoys loyal clients from Broadmeadows, Pascoe Vale, Roxburgh Park, Greenvale, Craigieburn, and even from as far afield as South Yarra, Carlton and Elwood.

“I started working with the Hairroom boys back in 1985 in Pelham Street, Carlton, then worked at the South Yarra salon for two years. I still have clients from those days, which is fantastic.”

Dominic said Hairroom Broadmeadows specialises in colour correction.

“We have local hairdressers that send their clients to us for colour correction work, due to our years of experience this space. We enjoy it.” One highlight for the salon was being featured on Channel 9’s Footy Show, back in 1999, when Broadmeadow’s favourite son Eddie Maguire visited the salon in person to interview Dominic.

“It was great for the profile of the business, and we still have a few celebrities as clients,” said Dominic.

“Overall, our clients keep coming back because we make them feel comfortable and relaxed. There are no surprises. We like to quote upfront, so there are no surprises at the end. This is one of Hairroom Salons advantages. We also take the time to have thorough discussions and listen closely to our client’s needs.”

“The people in this area of Melbourne - Broadmeadows and its surrounding suburbs are really nice and down to earth. There are lots of good people and strong families.”

Dominic said Hairroom Salons is privileged to use Wella and Kerastase products.

“Kerastase is a premium brand, and is only offered to premium and selected salons. So we are lucky to have had this brand for the last 21 years.”
